Junior Cycle Engineering aims to develop the students' awareness of engineering principles and processes while developing the necessary subject knowledge with the disciplinary skills to engineer products.

Leaving Certificate Engineering is the study of mechanical engineering for students in the senior cycle of post-primary education. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical and design skills to execute solutions to engineering problems. Engineering is assessed at two levels, Ordinary level and Higher level, by means of a written examination (50%) a project (25%) and a practical examination (25%)
