Students from Largy College were victorious in the national finals of the Concern debating competition last night.
Ruth Madden, Abigail McGuirk, Aaron McMahon and Carla Rafferty represented their school in the competition, taking on Dublin’s Sandyford Park School. They were successful in defeating the motion that “China in Africa is more monster than messiah”.
It’s the second time Largy College has won the competition and as part of their prize, they will visit Sierra Leone in West Africa.
And the winner is Largy College. The motion has been defeated!
