Largy College, Transition Year Student, Christy Biji, scooped first prize at the prestigious Sexual Health Awareness Week, (SHAW), Youth Competition.

shawTransition Year students from across the country were invited to submit either, a 1500 word essay or an alternative expression piece, on the title, “What helps us make good decisions in our romantic lives?”
 
Based on her essay, Christy was selected to make a presentation at the National Final, which took place in The Royal College of Physicians, Dublin, on Thursday 14th of November 2013. She was awarded first place in the essay writing/public speaking competition.
 
Two other students from Largy College were also selected for the final.  Nicole Mullan also made a presentation in the essay/public speaking category and Kerri McGuigan was selected to make a presentation based on the artwork she
